Just finished eating at this restaurant and our server was very kind to us and helpful. He had great energy and was very attentive to us. The food was amazing it felt perfectly homemade. They had a woman grilling the carne on a carbon which added amazing flavor. The beans are delicious! And the cheese is even better. The restaurant has a very comfortable vibe to it, I'll definitely be back :)
This place has great service and excellent food! The chili-verde marinated narrow carne asada was incredible! The mole sweet sauce is very delicious as well! I recommended the pumpkin drink and it is very refreshing... One of my top meals...Authentic Mexican cuisine from Oaxaca!!!!!!! Beware you might become a regular...
New location on Santa Monica and Western. This is their second location. Food is tasty and has that traditional flavors. I order chilaquiles verdes (also tried the chilaquiles rojos from my friend) with chicken and side of huevitos fritos. Both are on the spicy side which I like! You must try the cafe de olla. The service in general was prompt and attentive. The ambiance feels very homely and welcomed. Their bright colors and typical decoration is great! Restroom are cleaned and smell good. Highly recommend to come for breakfast and lunch. I'm coming back to try their moles.
Easy to find on the south side of Santa Monica Blvd just west of Western in a small shopping center. Parking is available in a private lot. There is very limited street parking. Staff is friendly, professional & efficient. I loved how they took the time to answer all my questions about the food and grocery. Environment is inviting with colorful with papel picado (cut tissue paper) hanging from the ceilings, flowery table designs, and decorative mural. Food we had today including a tlayuda was awesome! The maracuya (passion fruit) agua was delicious! We also had scrumptious flan for dessert. There are also Oaxacan grocery items including prepared mole, Oaxacan chocolate, honey, tlayudas etc. WC available.
